DDL2026 will be held in person and virtually, Wednesday, December 9 to Friday, December 11, at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre in Edinburgh, UK. All lectures will be streamed live to the online audience. The conference will feature invited lectures, presentations selected from submitted papers, poster sessions and an extensive exhibition.

The annual lecture will be presented by David Cipolla, PhD, of Insmed, Inc. whose topic will be "Development challenges with inhaled formulations."

The conference session themes are:

Propellants, planet and patients: Clinical needs and advocacy.
Site-specific aerosol delivery
Advances in solid state formulation
Inhaled antimicrobials and vaccines
Digital drug delivery to the lungs (dDDL)

New this year, the DDL Incubator Session will explore funding options available to start-ups, biotech founders and similar stakeholders. The event will also feature short pitches with feedback and networking opportunities.

The conference will also include the Pat Burnell Young Investigator Competition, the DDL Emerging Scientist Award and the New Researcher Network (NRN).
